My Story
My name is Cammey, I am a 42-year-old mother of four. I have been a stay at home mom for the last 8 years. Prior to my decision to stay at home I had always had a job and I was always very independent. I have worked in waitressing; retail and I was a supervising records clerk for a local law enforcement agency. When our second child was born, I was working night shift and my husband was working day shift. We quickly figured out that was not going to work if we hoped to get any sleep or see each other again. We couldn’t afford to and didn’t want to pay someone else to raise our children, so we came to the decision that I should stay at home. I was very nervous about quitting my job. It was a struggle at first, but we quickly adapted and did without some things to make it work.
After four years and two more kids I found myself surrounded with cartoons, toys, diapers and laundry. The only adults I talked to was my husband and my parents. Don’t get me wrong I love my kids and I wouldn’t change anything, but everyone needs a little adult interaction. I also struggled with being completely dependent on my husband for all our income. Over time I started to become jealous of my husband’s job, he would come home all excited about his day, “So and So said this” “So and So did that”. All I had was stories about bath time, laundry and smelly butts. That is when I knew I had to find something I could do on my own. Something that would allow me to make an income, reconnect with the adult world, make some new friends and still take care of my household. I looked at several different online opportunities as well as several multi-level marketing businesses. None of them seamed legitimate and they all require a lot of money to get involved.
I had used Scentsy for several years but never really paid any attention to the business side of the company. Five years ago, my cousin was killed in a traffic accident and a high school friend did a Scentsy fundraiser for our family. I was really impressed with the amount of genuine concern that was shown by the Consultant and her customers. Four years ago, that same high school friend asked me to host a party and at that party I learned about the business side of Scentsy.
I have been an Independent Consultant for almost 4 years now. I have found everything I was looking for as a Scentsy Consultant. I not only get to sell a product that I use and believe in, but I make new friends every time I talk to someone about it. My Scentsy business has helped me support our income, meet new people, take trips and provide other men and women the chance to also take advantage of these great opportunities. Scentsy is allowing me to be my own boss, keep my own schedule, as well as manage my busy family life. I enjoy these products as a safer alternative to candles. These NO flame, NO Wick and & NO soot, wax warmers are a reasonably priced, decorative way to make my life smell great. They provide a warming, safe and fragrant environment in my home and I am very excited to help bring them to yours.
I have attended the Spring Sprint event, World Tour and World Premiere. I have also attended the Scentsy Family Reunion in Las Vegas, Tennessee, Kansas City and this year Anaheim, Ca with the opportunity to take my family to a day at Disneyland/California Adventure. Last year I earned Level 1 of the incentive trip which means I earned my registration fee. I have met some of the company Executives as well as Consultants from all over the country. There is not a nicer and sincerer group of people who truly care about their customers and completely stand behind their products. Scentsy has become an exciting part of my life now. I have a purpose again that is all mine. My husband supports and helps me. I make my own income and the best part is I have made many new friends, Oh yeah now have my own stories to tell.
